As Liberians across the fifteen Political sub-division prepares to participate in the most heated general elections, a youthful Liberian politician, Chu Chu Alex Jones has joined the race for the country’s Presidency.
Mr. Chu Chu Alex Jones who plans to deliver Liberia from the hands of ‘bad leadership’ disclosed that he is contesting to solve some of Liberia’s old age problems.
Alex Jones is a passionate finance, business and economic writer and analyst with a fascination for development, poverty eradication and financial illiteracy.
He has worked in banking and finance for over a decade and consulted over half a dozen fortune 500 companies, including Bank of New York, Raymond James Financial and State Street Bank.
Born in Monrovia, Liberia, Alex moved to the US in 1996 and studied civil engineering, business, and finance.
After graduating from Franklin University in Columbus, he began his career as a loan counselor at JP Morgan Chase Bank.
He moved to NYC a few years later and embarked on a long quest to understand, trade and invest on Wall Street.
Along the way, he has held various positions in Accounting, Finance and Banking at both small and large equities firms including Thor Equities and The Posse Foundation, respectively
In 2011, the youthful Presidential Hopeful was retained by the Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA) to write and develop a Social Impact Business Plan facilitated by a $10 Million World Bank Grant.
Based on his performance in various positions served, Alex was subsequently invited to present and speak at the WSA Ministerial Council conference in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa, a year later.
Having achieved over two decades of banking and corporate finance experience at America’s largest public and private corporations, he has started his own proprietary trading and investment business (Alex Jones & Associates, LLC.) that invests in option derivatives of fortune 500 companies like Google, Facebook, Tesla, Bank of America, etc.
He has also occupied himself with writing and has completed manuscripts of his book titled The Development Manifesto, a five-volume textbook on how poor black communities and countries can use finance and technology to overcome poverty and bridge the equality gap between blacks and whites all over the world.
He’s also a public speaker, panelist, and business and economic editor of Global Afrique, and the publisher of the Global Africa social media. He’s a critical voice for justice, and economic and social equality in Black America and the continent of America.
The 2023 presidential hopeful has also promised to serve the Liberian people to the best of his ability if given the chance to lead his motherland in 2023.
