Security lighting provides a level of illumination to clearly identify persons or objects and creates a psychological deterrent to criminal activities in a particular area being protected.
To effectively enhance the smooth operations of Community Policing in rural Bong County, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ‘Yarkpawolo Foundation for Development’ in Dr. Emmanuel K. Urey Yarkpawolo has donated over six pieces of sensitive security lights to the Community Watch Forum in Gbarnsue Sulonmea town, electoral district #4.
Making the presentation Thursday December 8, on behalf of the foundation, the district coordinator, Mr. Joshua T. Gbarnah told the gathering that the CEO of the foundation being a people centered leader and one who cares about the well-being of his people has decided to help buttress the efforts of the community police in the area.
Mr. Gbarnah believes that the donation will go a long way as it will help beef-off the efforts being applied by security officers in the area over the time with ordinary lights.
He however acknowledged that there are many challenges facing security officers across rural Liberia, but a contribution towards their movements to nearby bushes especially at night hours is of paramount concern.
