The daring clamor for rice among ordinary Liberians reached an unprecedented level in the nation recently, mainly affecting those with the least ability to afford the precious commodity in Liberia.
In response to the cries of the citizens of District #4 in Bong County, the Co-Founder and Chief Patron of the Gbarnga based Nowah Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation, Mrs. Rashidat Williams Larsah, has listened to the clamor of the people of District #4 and has heeded their cries for help.
The Nowah Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation on November 19, 2022, embarked on the commencement of the donation of various assortments to citizens across various towns and communities of Bong County District #4. The donation targeted beneficiaries with focus on 3 key categories of citizens, including children, the handicapped, widows and widowers among others.
The scope of the ongoing donation exercise is large and will cover 100 bags of rice, several bales of footwears and lappas.
The commencement of the donation, which will ultimately impact the lives of countless citizens, was preceded by a survey conducted by the staff of the Nowah Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation over 2 months ago and covered various major towns and satellite communities of electoral District #4.


The survey was performed in order to assess the needs areas of the people of the district, targeting the specific area of most needs. The primary beneficiaries include the disabled, widows, widowers or both and single mothers who are mainly in their senior years.
It can be recalled that Mrs. Rashidat Williams Larsah, who is both the wife of Representative aspirant, James Flomo Larsah and Co-Founder/Chief Patron of the Nowah Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation, two weeks ago executed another round of humanitarian initiative with free medical outreach and distributing packaged goodies to the children of the district mainly in the town of Gbansue Sulonma. At the time, Mrs. Rashidat Williams Larsah spoke of the foundation’s plan to extend the donation to other towns and satellite communities
Mrs. Rashidat Larsah is a top medical professional, who is a product of the internationally respected US based Catholic University: the Notre Dame University.
She holds various academic and professional credentials in the medical field.
She is currently a Senior Clinical Nurse I with designations of RN, BSN at one of the top American university hospitals, the Baltimore based University of Maryland Medical System.
She is one of the sponsors of the Nowai Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation, an organization that has been involved with the provision of scholarship opportunities for young people in district#4 and Liberia by extension, donation of schooling materials to kids and restoring the hopes of storm victims in both Panta and Zota districts.
Meanwhile, the charity organization sometimes this year provided ten bags of 25kg rice with four bundles of zinc for Storm victims in Lutheran Global Village, Five bags of 25kg rice to Storm victims in Kpoloya town with four bundles of zinc as well as Paye-Ta all in Zota district.
As part of effort to buttressing government’s fight against criminalities in Liberia, the Foundation also donated three TVS black Absorb Motorcycles to the community watch Forum in district#4 to smooth their operations.
The CEO of the Nowah Gorkoyah Larsah Foundation, Ms. Florence B. Flomo, along with the Program Analyst Mr. Varney C. Hilton also form part of the donation exercise commenced over the past weekend.
Beneficiaries of the foundation’s different donations have always gratified the organization for its support to the well-beings of citizens of electoral district#4.
