A group of Liberians under the banner ‘Bong Concerned Youth Movement’ has trained and graduated seven hundred residents predominantly females in its Life Skills Empowerment training program in various disciplines.
According to the group Chairman Alex Flomo, the initiative is aimed at transforming the life of the youthful population across the District and the county.
Chairman Flomo noted that the group is anticipating adding additional courses to the current courses prescribed by the institution. He said Ice-Cream making, liquid soaps production and Pastries making are not sufficient.
Speaking at the occasion, Bong County District #5 Representative aspirant Steve Kennedy cautioned youths of the District to take advantage of the technical and vocational training center in the District as a means of creating Jobs for citizens across the District.
The Representative hopeful spoke Saturday August 20, 2022 at the first graduation exercise of the Bong Concerned Youth Movement in Suakoko District Bong County.
He lauded the Bong Concerned Youth Movement for the training and called on them to do more in building the capacity of youths across the District.
Mr. Kennedy used the occasion to motivate the graduates to make use of the knowledge acquired for the betterment of the District and the county.
He further said that the training will help improve their local businesses and make them Self-productive.
The Bong County District #5 representative hopeful at the same time promised to extend the initiative to other parts of the District and the county.
He maintained that he will generate and subsequently donate the sum of four hundred thousand Liberian Dollars for the newly graduates of the “Bong Concerned Youth Movement” as a way of motivating and empowering them.

The graduation follows four months intensive training in advanced Driving, Ice-Cream making , liquid soap production, pastries making amongst other , something many believes it has created job opportunities for the graduates .
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries extended gratitude to the management and staffs of the institution and promised to transform the District with the knowledge acquired.
They at the same time extended special thanks and appreciation to Mr. Steve Kennedy for the level of support to the people of the District and the county at large and also promised their unflinching support to the representative bid of Mr. Steve Kennedy in 2023.
