The United Bong County Associations in the Americas (UBCAA) is expected to launch an empowerment program for disadvantaged women in Bong County.
The launching of the United Bong County Associations in the Americas` empowerment program according to its President Mr. Caimon Joe Kollie will take place in Sanoyea, Lower Bong County on November 25, 2022.
According to the United Bong County Associations in the Americas` President, the empowerment program comes from the UBCAA`s home and economic development program geared to building skills of disadvantaged women in Bong County.
Mr. Caimon Joe Kollie furthered that “the program will also target young women, pregnant women, and babies’ mothers”.
The UBCAA’s President disclosed that beneficiaries of the empowerment program have already been recruited and was done in consultation with the local leadership of communities in the targeted area.
Mr. Kollie added that upon the launch of the empowerment program, his institution is exerting all efforts to make sure that the communities can have what he termed as a “buy-in”.
He said there are many Non-Government Organizations that begin initiatives, but do not continue to the taste of the beneficiaries, adding ‘for the United Bong County Associations in the Americas` empowerment program, it will be different’.
He thanked the Youth Crime Watch in the County for offering its facility for the use of the UBCAA`s empowerment program training on a free of charge basis.
