The Government of Liberia recently announced the provision of comprehensive health services at the CB Dunbar Maternal Hospital in Bong County.
As part of efforts to support the hospital’s health services programs, the government also provided additional funding to the hospital in the 2022 National Budget.
The CB Dunbar Hospital provides maternal health services to over ten thousand residents of Bong, parts of Nimba, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Gbapolu, Lofa and Montserrado Counties.
The hospital also serves as a training facility for hundreds of medical students in the country.
Bong County Health Officer Dr. Cynthia Blapooh said the expansion of CB Dunbar health services is a boost to the county healthcare programs, especially increasing access to health services for women in central Liberia.
Dr. Blapooh hailed Vice President Howard-Taylor and described her as a major donor to the county healthcare delivery system.
