Appearing as guest on Digging Deep recently, Mr. Franklin Obed Siakor has asserted that Liberia is aging without improvement due to bad governance and the unwillingness of the westerners to support its developmental activities.
According to the Former Bong County Senator, many of the challenges facing Liberia are heavily supported by the Westerners who pretend to be good partners to Africa.
Siakor said foreign mining companies operating in Liberia have allegedly failed to give the country fair share of resources extracted from its soil.
He believes when the government is given what belong to the country it will help improve infrastructural development and also reduce the poverty rate.
At the same time he pointed out that Liberians need to make the right choice at the ballot box by electing qualified and experienced leaders who can ably represent the country at the international level.
The former lawmaker who is noted for his stance against bad governance in the country has always expressed disappointment in elected officials of Bong and Liberia at large over their continued engagements with agreements that do not have any trigger down positive impact on the struggling and impoverished population.
Siakor was elected at the Liberian Senate to represent Bong County in 2005 and served for nine consecutive years. He was defeated by Henry W. Yallah in 2011.
