An aspirant in the upcoming presidential and legislative elections for Bong County electoral district #3, Elijah J. Kotoe is calling on his fellow compatriots to maintain the peace in Liberia despite their individual political differences.
The aspirant call on follows comes at the point which there is too many personal attacks among supporters of those aspiring for the district highest seat comes 2023.
“We can agree and disagree, but what is so dear to us is the peace of our country. We do not want to witness those ugly pasts in our country`s history. We (politicians) have a greater role to play in this coming election.
This is about time we began calling on our supporters to avoid conflict and convince the citizens about why his or her leader is best suited to represent the district,”, he added.
The district #3 representative hopeful is on record for always calling on his supporters to do away with violence whenever carrying out their activities.
“I usually tell all of my supporters, if you are supporting me do not get involved with negative things. If it causes me to even get one vote in this coming election which is not possible, I will. But I will not allow people who want to cause and disturb the peace of our country”
The Bong County district #3 hopeful term as “Frustrating and Disingenuous” on the part of politicians who are always influencing young people to go out and cause violence.

Kotoe added that if those contesting truly love the people they intend to lead, ‘avoiding violence and preaching the message of peace will be the order of the day’.
He used the occasion to call on young people in the county, especially Bong County district #3 not to allow themselves to be used by greedy and selfish politicians whose only agenda is to amass wealth for they and their families.
“For me, we are bringing different dynamism in the body politics of Liberia. Gone are the days where greedy and selfish politicians will come and fool our people just to collect their precious votes and later turn their back at them.
“I Elijah J. Kotoe, promised my people never to be in such a category, so help me God. That is why I continue to say to my people that we are not going to this process because of ourselves, but for our people. God has blessed my family and we are happy with the life we are living, but we can’t continue to sit and see people suffering our citizens. This must stop and it will stop when we shall have been announced winner in the coming elections”.
