Over the weekend three young Liberians during the closure of the Lonestar MTN “MoMo Waysay-Wasa” campaign, termed as life changing moment after the GSM company pronounced them winners of fabulous prizes at the grand final draw.
With extreme excitement and joy as they walked aways with glorious prizes that amazed several Liberian standing and passerby.
The draw took place at the Jacob Town football pitch on Saturday, October 1, when Lonestar Cell MTN ended its ” MoMo Waysay-Wasa” campaign following nearly six months of campaigning, as several subscribers especially mobile money users and agents won material and cash prizes.
During the raffle draw, Harris Gbar, a bike Rider and a resident of the Johnsonville Community was announced winner of a brand-new SUV jeep, while Princess Peterson, a young high school graduate of the same area won another new SUV jeep. Also, Ms. Watta Turley, a resident of Chicken Sup factory was announced winner of a brand new Kekeh.
As part of the program, others who attended the climax of the Lonestar Cell MTN MoMo waysay-wasa grand final were given the space to purchase food and drinks using their MTN mobile money”MoMo Waysay” in order to participate in the instant draw.
While the team from Lonestar Cell MTN proceeded with the draw, a resident of the Jacob Town community who purchase soft drink at the amount of hundred Liberia dollars using his mobile money won a flat screen television set, as others won smart phone among other prizes.
Speaking with Lonestar Cell MTN “MoMo Waysay wasa” Brand Ambassador Angel Michael, Ms.Watta Turley expressed gratitude and said she was excited to be a winner of such mega prize.
“Winning this kekeh today I am amaze and surprise. When you people called me, I did not want to come because I thought it was scam. However, I was motivated by my friend to give it a try. I am a Kekeh owner”, she said and urged everyone to keep using Lonestar Cell MTN mobile money for transaction.
For his part, winner Harris Gbar said he was overwhelmed as he named winner of a new vehicle, stating that it is something he did not dream about.
“I am a motorcyclist and recently my bike was stolen when I went at a nearby booth to send money to someone on their mobile money. We were in the booth when we heard the bike sound and before we got out, they made away with the bike. Seeing this today that I’m now a car owner, I am lack of words”, he expressed.
Princess Peterson, winner of the second vehicle, was escorted by her aunty after doubting that she won a vehicle when she was called by Lonestar Cell MTN as one of their biggest lucky winners for the program raffle draw.
“I am a high school graduate and currently in vocational school. When you call me I doubt it but was encourage by my aunty who is here. However, I never thought that this could work. Moreover, I never even dream of having car at this young age but thanks to Lonestar Cell MTN for bringing this dream to reality”, Princess said.
Lonestar Cell MTN team transferred ownership of the documents to the winners before officially turning over the prizes to them.
The first winner of a vehicle was Teta Togba, a nine-grade student in Ganta City, Nimba County broke down in serious tears of Joy as she won a brand-new Duster Renault (SUV) vehicle from Lonestar Cell MTN through its mega promo initiative “MoMo Waysay-Wasa version 2 week four.During the period of the campaign several customers from across the country won prizes as well as over twenty agents received cash prizes of two hundred US dollars each
