The General Policy Commission (GPC) and Executive Members of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) have sharply reacted to media reports that its Vision Bearer/Political Leader, Dr. Daniel E. Cassell has been indicted in the United States of America. The GPC is the highest decision-making body, while the Executive Members comprise of the secretariat and other top-ranking members of the party.
On Wednesday, September 21, few newspapers and online platforms in Monrovia reported that Dr. Cassell, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the New Jersey based mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse agencies, Kwenyan Professional Health Services, LLC and Kwenyan and Associates, has been formally indicted by a Grand Jury without any clear understanding of what those entails.
The PLP describes these publications as a mere political propaganda orchestrated by some wicked and failed politicians in Liberia, who remain uncompromised and committed to keeping Liberia and its citizens underdeveloped and living in abject poverty.
The People’s Liberation Party (PLP) would like to clarify that indictment is not a guilty verdict but a process of proceeding to trial and as such, its Vision/Standard Bearer Dr. Cassell remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
Additional, the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) would like to state emphatically that the accusations levied against its Vision/Standard Bearer remain “doctored allegations” that can only be proven or denied through the presentation of hard facts or substantive evidences during court hearing or procedures and not by “hear say” or the smear campaign being initiated by these failed and greedy politicians who want to see Liberian citizens die in perpetual economic hardship and poverty in the midst of the current administration plundering our country’s resources on their respective family members who are flagrantly flaunting their wealth in the eyes of the impoverished masses.
Given the recent waves of political propaganda, the PLP continues to wonder why a case involving a company registered and fully operating in the United States has gained so much national attention and is now being used as a conduit to get at our party and its Vision/Standard Bearer, who has never stolen our country’s wealth and resources, neither has he been involved in our past atrocious civil war or committed any crime in Liberia. The motivation is very obvious, the PLP and its Vision/Standard Bearer is the best alternative to liberate Liberia.
The People’s Liberation Party (PLP) is not moved or deterred by the growing wave of political propaganda being intentionally targeted at our Vision/Standard Bearer-Dr. Cassell and our party ahead of the 2023 general and presidential elections as we remain focused, determined and dedicated to building cells by consistently engaging our fellow citizens throughout the length and breadth of our country, and intervening to resolve the mountainous aged-old problems that they are faced with.
Case in point, since the People’s Liberation Party’s (PLP) was certificated by the National Elections Commission (NEC) in December 2020, it continues to help transform and improve the living conditions of Liberians, through the provision of empowerment opportunities to women, girls, less fortunate, under privileged, disadvantaged youths and physically challenged, rehabilitation and construction of roads, bridges and market buildings, affordable transportation service, scholarship opportunities to hundreds of students from grade to university levels, free medical service and payment of medical bills, provision of jobs to hundreds of Liberians, among others.
The PLP remains confident and steadfast that it’s Vision/Standard Bearer-Dr. Cassell will be fully exonerated at the climax of the legal process and will return to Liberia in the soonest possible time to continue his crusade to liberate Liberia and its citizens from bad governance, segregation, deprivation, corruption, and other vices and societal ills that have kept them backward for several decades.
Meanwhile, the PLP renews its fullest support and commitment to its Vision and Standard Bearer Dr. Daniel E. Cassell as he goes through the litigation of the case.
We want to call on all of our partisans, supporters and the Liberian people in general, not to be carried away by these well calculated political ploy and deception which are intended to discourage them from joining the Liberation Train and cast their votes in favor of our Vision/Standard Bearer comes 2023.
To this end, the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) remains the only beacon of hope to liberate Liberia and its citizens and therefore, all patriotic and well-meaning Liberians should continue to put the interest of our country first by denouncing propaganda intended to injure the reputation of others, who have been in the vanguard of finding solutions to the barrage of problems the nation and citizens are currently encountering, and continues to worsen day by day, a release signed by PLP National Chairman Mr. Tapple E.
