President Weah Off To Ghana For Extraordinary ECOWAS Summit
Monrovia, Liberia: The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has left the country for the Republic of Ghana to participate in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
President Weah, who departed Saturday, July 2, 2022, will join his colleagues from the Subregion for the two-day Summit which gets underway today.
The West African leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of political and security issues affecting the ECOWAS Bloc,
While the President is away, the Minister of State for Presidential Affair, Hon. Nathaniel Farlo McGill will act as Chair of the Cabinet in close consultation with Vice President Chief Jewel Howard Taylor and via mobile contact with the President.
President is expected to return home on Monday, July 4, 2022.
