President George M. Weah has termed as false and misleading claims that he was restricted while in the United States of America.
President Weah and entourage according to media reports were restricted while in the USA but according to him, the information was far from the reality.
“My dog and ballon D’or award were not at the headquarters of the United Nations rather my home, so it tells you that I was home and was not restricted”, he added.
He warned the public to be careful of falsehood and misinformation.
Speaking about the debate, he said it is a good thing to represent the Country at the world stage and it was not a strange one for him, haven attended on three different occasions.
“I put forth Liberia’s case ranging from climate change, peace and security, global warming, democracy and it was a good one”, he told reporters.
On the issue of the rice scarcity, President Weah said he is concerned about the issue especially as a political commodity and will make some follow-ups on the issue.

“This issue is not the first time and i was told the last time when i visited the Freeport of Monrovia that rice is in the Country and can serve the population up till next year, however, where there is smoke, there is fire, so I will make some intervention with another visitation to the Freeport”, he assured his people.
