Montserrado County Senator Saah H. Joseph has donated a 40ft container containing medical items to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center (JFK) in Monrovia.
Making the presentation Monday’s evening, Senator Joseph lauded the tremendous works done by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jerry F. Brown and his team at the Country’s major referral Hospital.
According to him, as Senator it is also part of his responsibilities to support JFK and other medical centers across the Country, most especially Montserrado County.
Senator Jospeh who also Chairs the Senate Statutory Committee on Executive further mentioned that while in the United States few months ago, he was able to obtain through the help of partners, ten 40ft containers and that five of the containers have already been distributed, while the remaining five will be given to JFK, the Redemption Hospital and other health Centers in Montserrado County.
He added that the supply was given by the Gateway Medical Alliance in Kent, Washington, the United States of America.
Lawmaker Joseph at the same time promised to officially connect Dr. Brown to the Gateway Medical Alliance team in the US in October , so as to enable the JFK have direct link with them in order to directly support Nation’s leading referral Hospital.
“On this note, I like to formally present to you the list of material in this container and say that my trip to the US was very successful. I want to say thank you and continue your good work to the Liberian people” Senator Joseph averred.
Receiving the donation, the Chief Executive Officer of JFK, Dr. Jerry Brown used the occasion on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire family of JFK, especially the patients who are direct beneficiaries to commend the Montserrado County Senator and the Gateway Medical Alliance and other partners for the donation.
According to Dr. Brown, since he and his team took on the leadership of JFK, Hon. Joseph has been one of the leading contributors to the works of the JFK.
