Hundreds of supporters and sympathizers of a political group under the banner “Team Urey Yarkpawolo” over the weekend converged in Belefanai town the headquarters of Zota district to have a one day in-person meeting with the Torchbearer of the team Dr. Emmanuel K. Urey Yarkpawolo.
During the gathering, officials of Team Urey-Yarkpawolo both in Panta and Zota districts were formally introduced to citizens of Zota district in order to breach the gap of communication between officials of the team and the district.
Addressing the political congregation, Dr. Emmanuel King Urey Yarkpawolo, the head of the Team Urey-Yarkpawolo vying for the district’s highest seat commended attendees of the meeting for their commitment and support to his endeavors.
Making a PowerPoint presentation at the occasion, Dr.Urey-Yarkpawolo displayed his political manifestos to the audience as means of enabling them to understand his plans for the borough.
Dr. Urey Yarkpawolo in his platform promised to change corruption and perception on corruption by leading with the principles of servant leadership, set clear examples of handwork, community organizing and innovation in agriculture productivities.
Clear role of lawmaking and oversight, promote laws that promote enhancing environment for business, promote the implementation of the land Rights Law and pass or promote the implementation of a Civic Education Law, he continued.
The representative hopeful maintained that with his platforms, he foresees a society changed District#4 where citizens will not be beggars but rather be self-reliant while promising to declare his assets to the public for entrust.
The gathering was also attended by local officials of the district headed by Commissioner Arthur Kpolleh who congratulated Dr.Urey Yarkpawolo for his workings and dreams for the district, thus urging him to look at the Belefanai Health Center that is currently lacking essential medical drugs .
“We have our Health Center here but if you go there now there is no paracetamol there. We need your help in this direction. We are suffering here but nobody is coming to our cry” Commissioner Kpolleh further narrated.
